The Sariska Palace is located less than a kilometre from the
Sariska Tiger Reserve and National Park. It is also located in
close proximity to the Sariska bus stand which is less than a
5-minute walk. Alwar railway station is 35 kilometres from the
Sariska Palace while Jaipur airport is 110 kilometres away.
There is a local market near Sariska Palace, at a distance of 3
kilometres, from where you can pick up water, biscuits, chips
and their likes.
The Sariska Palace is a 3 star level heritage hotel and is set
amidst a vast expanse of trees and wildlife. The palace is
spread across 120 acres of well maintained land and manicured
lawns. The hotel offers a little over 100 rooms and is a perfect
getaway for the weekend, mostly visited by foreign tourists and
people traveling in groups on packages.
The rooms at Sariska Palace are divided into four areas: Queen's
Corner, Lord's Corner, Haveli and the Main Palace. While all the
rooms are air conditioned, with the summer heat, the rooms take
a long time to cool. The Queen's Corner has a total of 20 rooms
with attached washrooms. All the rooms have marble flooring and
are furnished with twin beds. Basic amenities like a tea/coffee
maker and a telephone are also included.
Queen's Corner is situated next to the swimming pool and the
Health and Rejuvenation Centre. Lord's Corner has a total of 13
rooms and is located close to the Main Palace. The rooms are
carpeted and have an attached changing area and bathroom along
with the basic amenities. The Haveli is an area with a rectangle
courtyard and a lawn with the rooms surrounding this courtyard.
There are 35 rooms in this area with wooden flooring in the
rooms, attached bathrooms and changing rooms. Finally, the Main
Palace has 35 rooms that have a mix of carpeted and marble
flooring along with amenities available in other room
Sariska Khazana is the gift shop within the premises of the
palace which is a swirl of loud beautiful colours. Other
features within the Sariska Palace are 3 conference rooms,
namely The Darbar Hall, Jai Mahal and Shiv Mahal, with a seating
capacity of up to 200 people.
The swimming pool is outdoors with sun beds along the periphery
of the pool. There is also the Maharaja Jai Singh Royal Health
and Rejuvenation Centre, which offers oil massages, sauna, steam
bath and a Jacuzzi. You can also exert yourselves a little with
various sports in the hotel like badminton, horse riding,
tennis, swimming, table tennis and jogging.
For entertainment, the hotel sometimes conducts cultural
evenings which include folk music and dance performances by
locals. Jeeps are also available at the hotel for a safari in to
the National Park. Also visit the Pandupore Temple inside the
sanctuary, which is famous for its historic importance.
The Palace also has a bar and a restaurant.
